The numbers are in, and studies have shown that moms haven’t
made a new friend in the last 5 years. How does the word
“New-Mom-Friend” make you feel?! Did you just cringe a little?
Pandemic and stats aside, making a new friend and cultivating a
meaningful relationship is hard. And yet we all know that real
relationships are so important and needed.
So, how do you find a mom friend?! How do you take the first step
in making a new friend? #awkward Where do you find time to put into
a new friendship? When do you give up on a friendship going
nowhere? When do you keep trying? Should you even try to get out
there and find that real connection? Is it really worth it?
Real connections are not about putting your best face on social
media. Real friendships are where you are intentionally investing
in others and yourself. It's where you have a tribe of people
built-in for when you need them the most.
